Chamber Membership

Membership in the Bow Island/Burdett Chamber of Commerce is only $50 per year.  With this membership you receive membership in the Alberta Chamber as well as the local Chamber.  This entitles you to various value-added programs (see below).

The Chamber has various activities throughout the year including the Annual Meeting and Awards Night, Trade Show, Golf Tournament, Customer/Volunteer Appreciation BBQ, Harvest Festival, Christmas Lighting Contest and more.

The Chamber is a non-profit society.  As such we hope to have access to funding to help with costs for our various programs and to establish a Chamber office.

Membership in the Chamber allows you to accept Chamber Bucks as payment for sales and services.  If you receive Chamber Bucks, treat them as you would a gift certificate.  Then turn them in to the Chamber for reimbursement.  They may be sent to Box 1001 or given to Carol Maxwell, our treasurer.

To Join the Bow Island/Burdett & District Chamber of Commerce, please fill out the membership form (click on the link) and enclose a cheque payable to the Bow Island/Burdett Chamber of Commerce, and send it to Box 1001, Bow Island, Alberta  T0K 0G0.  Chamber dues may also be paid at the Town Office, but please remember we need your membership form.  Membership forms can be faxed to 545-6042.

MasterCard Merchant Discount Rate:  Preferred electronic merchant discount rates of 1.80%** and an Interac fee of 15 cents for each debit transaction (**dependent on ticker size).  ATB Financial is proud to introduce the Alberta Business Card that allows you to save money, be in control, have unsurpassed account access and other great benefits.

Visa Merchant Discount Rate:  Discount rates of 1.80% for electronic deposits and 12 cents per debit transaction.  TC Canada Trust also offers other banking services for you business, yourself and your employees.

Visa Merchant Discount Rate:  Scotiabank offers discount rates of 1.80% for electronic deposits and 14 cents per debit transaction.

Petro-Canada Discount Program:  Realize significant savings, convenience, control and security.  Discounts of 2 cents/litre on all grades of gas and diesel, 20% discount on car washes, 3% discount on vehicle propane.  Petro-Canada also introduces their pre-paid cards, available in denominations of $10, $25, $50 and $100.

Husky/Mohawk Discount Program:  Husky is very pleased to present a Group Plan commercial credit card program to all Chambers of Commerce Members.  Receive a 2 cent/litre discount with no minimum volume requirements at any Husky/Mohawk location.  Other benefits include saving time, getting great service, enjoying quality products while working with a great business partner.  Canadian owned!

Esso Fleet Discount Program:  Esso is offering to all members a discount on fuel, top-up oils, car washes and other purchases on your Esso Fleet Credit Card.

Purolator:  The Purolator volume discount program can save you up to 35% off every time you use their service.

Adtel On-Hold InfoPacs:  Offers Chamber of Commerce members special packages of customized on-hold services.

Payworks On-line Payroll Services:  Offering innovative payroll service by rolling the best qualities of software packages, service bureaus, and the power of Internet in one system.  This program is fully integrated with the Chambers Group Insurance administration.
